3 to 5yrs hands-on experience in CRO/field production operations in a reputable oil and gas company.

Ability to work with a multi-discipline production team with skill competence in first line maintenance on field instrumentation (electronic and pneumatic).

  • Ensure that all Safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents
  • Respond to Emergency situations in accordance with Emergency response plan.
  • Report all observed safety concerns to relevant authorities and utilize Unsafe act/Unsafe conditions reporting tool.
  • Participate in Emergency drills
  • Record and track production data such as piping’s pressure, storage tank level, & tank status
  • Work with control room operator to execute valve line up for import activities and monitor critical transfer activities during the import operations
  • Carry out routine checks on pumps, valves, gauges, motors, and crude storage tanks to ensure that it is working properly and as part of prestart of import activities.
  • Carry out first line maintenance intervention on pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance activities which include but not limited to
    • Preparation and implementation of isolation plans
    • Tagging of valves and other isolation points
    • Energizing and Deenergizing of production critical equipment.
  • Ensure equipment breakdown is reported on CMMS (SAP).
  • Execute daily communication and shift handover.
  • Carry out update of Operational registers in line with schedule.

  • Candidate should have a minimum of bachelor’s degree or HND in science/engineering related degree.
  • Candidate should have 3-5 years’ experience working as a Field operator in the Oil and gas industry.
  • Candidate should have knowledge of process separation systems
  • Candidate should have knowledge of PEFS interpretation
  • Candidate should have excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate should be proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, and Power point)
  • Candidate should have demonstrated leadership and teamwork behaviors
  • Candidate should have demonstrated appreciation of worksite risks in the oil & gas industry
